YOUR CHURCH CAN BE A GOSPEL INFLUENCE IN YOUR STATE CAPITOL

We’ll help you engage your state’s leaders with confidence—without turning Sunday worship into a partisan battlefield.

TRUTH IN POLITICS

LIGHT IN DARKNESS

PRAYERFUL ACTION

MANY PASTORS ARE FEELING A TENSION
...Are you?

  • “If I address anything ‘politically adjacent,’ I might divide the church.”
  • “Our people are anxious… and I’m not sure how to calm the temperature.”
  • “We want to help—but we don’t know where to start.”
  • “We have no meaningful connection to our state leaders.”
  • “We don’t want to rope Jesus into party platforms.”
  • “We don’t want to stay silent either.”

A KINGDOM WAY TO ENGAGE GOVERNMENT—WITHOUT PLAYING POLITICAL GAMES

Capitol Commission helps churches bring prayer, presence, and proclamation into the public square—by connecting you to a nonpartisan missionary-pastor already serving inside your state capitol.

A Pastor to Pastor Partnership

Guidance for addressing government biblically without partisan division.

A Trusted Bridge to the Capitol

Help your church meet leaders and pray for them in appropriate, healthy ways.

Prayer Tools

Pray1Tim2 makes daily intercession simple and specific.

On-the-Ground Gospel Presence

A minister in the capitol is discipling leaders week by week.

We’re not asking your church to become political.

We’re inviting your church to become faithful.

How It Works

1

Connect with Your State Minister

A simple first conversation—pastor-to-pastor.

2

Schedule a "King of Kings" Sunday

A service that calms the room, lifts eyes to Christ’s authority (Psalm 2), and gives your people a clear next step.

3

Mobilize Your Church in Prayer and Partnership

Adopt leaders in prayer, use Pray1Tim2 daily, and (as God leads) help support gospel work inside your Capitol.

WHAT PASTORS ARE SAYING

WHY THIS MATTERS (1 TIMOTHY 2)

Why Pray for Leaders?

God commands prayer “for kings and all who are in high positions” and ties it to the advance of the gospel. This gives pastors a safe, biblical on-ramp for their people.

WHAT IF YOUR STATE DOESN’T HAVE A STATE MINISTER—YET?

Capitol Commission currently has State Ministers serving in 27 state capitols. If your state is one of them, we’d love to help you connect directly with that minister.

If your state does not yet have a State Minister, you still have a meaningful next step. A member of our national ministry—often Dr. Brad Harbaugh—can help facilitate a King of Kings Sunday, equip your church to pray for leaders, and walk with you as we discern God’s timing for placing a State Minister in your capitol. Many churches play a key role in helping launch new state ministries.
