Chuck Young serves as Capitol Commission’s North Carolina State Minister, bringing more than 40 years of ministry experience and a heart for sharing the hope of Jesus Christ through personal relationships and the teaching of God’s Word.

Chuck came to faith in Christ at age twelve and was discipled through The Navigators ministry, where his father, Jim Young, served on staff. Growing up, Chuck witnessed the impact of relational ministry firsthand as his family welcomed others into their home and shared the love of Christ. His father later became the first President of Capitol Commission, establishing a legacy of ministry that Chuck is grateful to continue.

Throughout his 41 years in full-time ministry, Chuck has served as a Young Life Area Director for 12 years, a campus minister with SPORTworks Ministry in Greenville, North Carolina, for 22 years, and a pastor for seven years. These experiences have strengthened his passion for evangelism, discipleship, and walking alongside others in their faith.

As North Carolina’s State Minister, Chuck looks forward to building meaningful relationships with legislators, staff, and others serving in the State Capitol in Raleigh. Through Bible studies, personal encouragement, prayer, and pastoral care, his desire is to be a faithful presence and share the life-changing truth of God’s Word.

Chuck and his wife, Lisa, have been married since 1991 and have two adult children, Levi (Christy) and Isabella. Together, they have a long history of opening their home and their lives to others, sharing the love of Christ with those God places in their path.

Chuck and Lisa welcome your prayers, encouragement, and financial partnership as they serve the Lord through Capitol Commission and seek to bring the hope of Jesus Christ to North Carolina’s Capitol community.
